  17. <p>   "You're going to have the tallest, darkest leading man in
  18. Hollywood," a friend once told Fay Wray. Says the actress: "I
  19. thought he was talking about Cary Grant." Instead, the future
  20. scream queen was paired with King Kong, and the rest is hysteria
  21. . . . er, history. "He's brought a lot of lovely things to me,"
  22. she says. Still spry at 81, Wray last week launched her
  23. autobiography, On the Other Hand, which begins with an open
  24. letter to the King (whereabouts unknown). But don't think she's
  25. returning to the movies. "Darling," she explains, "you have to
  26. get up at 4 in the morning. It doesn't thrill me."
